Blog City Guide For Families on the Go

Let’s try something new this month!

Now that we are on our way in September, it’s a great time of year to try something new.  And Naperville has so much to offer! Have you always wanted to take a painting class? Try yoga? Sign up for Spanish lessons? Or even just start a healthy daily ritual like a family evening walk?  Now is the time! Here are a few of our favorites.

Intro to Aerial Yoga, September 5 at Abhyaasa Yoga. Never tried Aerial before and want to give it a go? Join Amie in this one time workshop to explore the benefits of yoga through introductory asanas in the silks. Space is limited.

Mercury: A Story Celebrating Freddie Mercury’s Life and Music, September 14 at North Central College Pfeiffer Hall. We all loved the Bohemian Rhapsody movie about the amazing Freddie Mercury. This performance is a story about music that made the world shake, stomp, chant and cheer. It’s a story about a man who helped a generation learn to rock and puts his love of opera and Barcelona on display.

Indian Culture Festival/Taste of India September 21 at Central Park. Vedic Cultural Society invites all members of the public, who journey to the exotic, ancient land of Vedic India and experience its diverse rich heritage and customs.

Harvest Pow Wow September 21 & 22 at Naper Settlement.  It’s Pow Wow time at the 25th annual Midwest SOARRING Foundation event. The traditional Powwow is is a time to celebrate life, renew friendships and share the Native American Culture.

Till Next Time!
